When: Saturday, October 25, 9:00am-noon
Who: Teaching Faculty (FT & PT) with at least one non-ZTC course

With changes at 色中色 ranging from the transition of our Bookstore from physical to virtual, the expansion of eight-week courses, and the challenge of offering Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) courses and pathways, there has never been a better (or more crucial!) time to implement Open Educational Resources (OER) in your classes! In this Saturday Session, held at the Teaching & Learning Center and facilitated by OER Coordinator Cerise Myers, you'll learn:
  • What's happening with 色中色's Bookstore and what those changes mean for students and faculty
  • How to use Follet Discover for ordering textbooks, and the new Materials & Schedule Attributes (XB12) form
  • How OERs can help your students hit the ground running
  • Finding OERs, vetting them, and making them available to students
  • Options for getting paid for OER projects
Faculty who attend the session and submit a Mini Needs Assessment/Plan for Implementing OER will be paid $225 (three hours at the non-teaching rate). Coffee and snacks provided!
